So it's my dads birthday soon[50th] and im stuck for ideas what to get him, me and my sister have already gone in together to get a plum tree because he's a bit of a keen gardener but that didn't really cost much at all. I've got about 60/70ish quid to spend, we thought of maybe getting a watch but for that sort of money its not going to be a really nice one and im not to sure if he'll even really wear it!

I thought of something to do with 'gardening' as he enjoys it but i just cant think of anything. His interests are pretty much, cricket/rugby/football/used to be a bit of a gym man but then quit recently and gardening. He's not really into adrenaline filled sort of stuff so cant really do an experience day.

So i neeeeeed helllllpppppp, any ideas?

An allotment?

Probably doesn't help but it's my dad's 50th next year, i'm thinking about making him a strat to replace the one that 'got stolen' (long story).

If you're not sure he would like or even wear a watch, I'd steer clear.

Get him something practical that you know will like, use and value.

Go to Focus & buy him a Spear & Jackson Fork, Spade & Rake, 10 year guarantee around 25-30 quid a piece. I've just got the 3 myself & they are superb tools.
Great to work with the stainless steel is light strong & the mud doesn't stick to it.
