I have just installed a new mobo/cpu/gfx card and i now cannot bootup - when i go through bootup in safe mode it hangs on the 'D347BUS.SYS' file ... i've looked this up online and it seems its a daemon tools file and i'm told that it needs removing.

thing is that i can't get into windows to remove it! So i don't see how to get around this :/ - only thing i can think is to put back in the old parts and delete daemon tools ...

Any ideas people?

I tried that just now and it seems that using F8 to get to the advanced menu doesn't have selective startup as an option, is there another way to get there?

help!!! :(

New mobo I hear you say? A format would be highly recommended :) If worried about lossing files, condier this & this useful programs ;)

You can also try starting in Safe Mode & uninstalling DAEMON Tools :D

Cheers for the ideas lads!
I have since got hold of a copy of Slax and am going to use a cd to boot into that and backup my files from the C:\ partition before doing as you suggest and formatting!

Hopefully i can find my way around the linux thing easily enough - shall just use my usb pen to backup too :)
