Daft Punk

I love it. It's taken all weekend but I'm really enjoying it now. It does seem to be a little bit 'Look at how bloody good we are' as opposed to filling it with singles, the production and quality is staggering. Just has something about it, every single part of every song sounds 'right' and perfectly deliberate. Touch & Giorgio are beautiful records. It's not the single ridden 'chooooooooon' fest that Discovery was but it's some damn fine music.

It's cool they actually made an album :p As in I think many of the tracks taken individually are kinda meh but I like the way the album progresses overall, good album to listen to while driving.

Rossi~ when i got my hands on it last Wednesday
ITS ON FAKIN LOOP !!!!
Buying it tomorrow !
SO GOOD ALBUM for background chilling.
I just dont like 2 tracks and thats very good !!!

Ok I have given it a few more plays and I just don't get it, it could be my age or just the "departure" from the norm but I really can't see how another Alive album can come of this and just for kicks check this out. Soo Good!

The second half of Discovery is the better half?

That's pretty bold, you can't deny the power of those 4 singles! Some great songs at the end though. Anyone else notice Voyager is sampled in that song 'I can't wait for the weekend to begin'? :)

They are good singles, yeah...

But the second half of the album is still the better half by a fair way ;).

I have listened to this for the last 2 days solid too and from work.

I find myself tapping the wheel, singing along, head boping. It is a fantastically well put together album and IMO is a constant record. a few stand outs:
Give Life Back to Music
Instant Crush
Lose Yourself to Dance
Get Lucky
Doin it Right
Contact

Really like it, not like I enjoy their older stuff but still fantastic, a much more "I have had a hard day at work, lets sit down with a beer and turn this up loud" kind of record.

Going to have to disagree due to verdis quo and short circuit dragging it down.

2 of my fav tracks from Discovery.
I'd agree with Bucket overall I prefer Discovery's tone from around Nightvision onwards.
That's not to say I dislike the singles though, it's just a preference.

It also sits quite nicely in a listen alongside R.A.M I find.

What a disappointment. Dull and predictable. There's a few good tracks after the half way point, mostly because of Pharrell, but most bored me to death. Maybe it's a grower...
