Daily diet -whats yours?

First real wander around the sports forums for me. Nice to see some lifters in here!

What's your daily diet you guys? I'm interested to compare protein, fat and carb intake.

Mine is:

8am: Bowl of porridge. Whey Gain protein shake made with whole milk (*51g prtn) Multi vitamin, Vit B complex, Glutaforce, Ginko, Creoforce

10:30am: Snack - usually a flapjack and a Met-RX bar (22g prtn)

12:30pm: Tuna mayo jumbo baguette, coffee, choccy bar (30g prtn) Bulk Plus Shake (20g prtn), Glutaforce

3pm: Pro-40 MRP (40g prtn)

6:30pm: Dinner (Usually chicken and pasta with veg/fruit)(35g prtn). Whey gain protein shake (51g prtn), Glutaforce

7:30pm: Gym, followed by Whey gain protein shake(51g prtn). Sip half a cup of Rage whilst working out and finish it on final set.
Glutaforce.

10pm: Snack (Salami/turkey sandwich)(20g prtn)

11pm:Whey gain protein shake before bed

I'm desperately trying to keep up this massive intake, as I intend to put on a LOT of weight in the next few months for my own personal reasons. Once I've bulked up to about 13 and a half-14 stone (hopefully about february time), I'll strip down with a increased creatine/protein course and cut a few fats (not too concerned at the mo).

I've been gyming it reguarly for the past four years now and it's time to get nasty!! Anyone else done a really intense course like this? My flatmate and I are beasting each other through this - I do nutrition and he does the gym shouting. It works, from the week we've been doing it. I feel constantly full, my gym work seems to be improving and I feel bigger already (not surprised, the amount I'm eating...). I just hope this works - I'm spending over 150 quid on supplements a month with this course. Otherwise it's nandrolyne for me!!!!

hi mate! nice to see more lifters emerging from the forums!! four years is a long time :o how old are ya mate? im 18 and have been lifting just over a year now, but havent been to the gym for over 3 weeks coz of illness :( it sucks...i was really hitting it hard too.

my diet is pretty difficult to sustain because of 6th form, but it looks something along the lines of:

7:30am breakfast - protein shake, cereal
11:10am breaktime thingy - packet of tuna, then a tuna sandwhich from cantine
1:30pm lunch - usually tuna baguette or chicken baguette
3pm - quick snack, usually bowl of pasta and a glass of milk
*work*
6pm dinner, whatever mum makes really..lol
8-9pm glass of milk and a sandwhich or roll or summat

and loads of glasses of water during the day

so you train every day? i only train 3 times a week myself, dont really have the time to do it anymore atm...

i just cant wait to get back to the gym!!! blood tests tommorow will hopefully say my liver is ok!
 
I only train three times a week dude - just showing off my intake on a gym day really :) On an off day, everything is the same bar the after gym stuff.

I'm 25 by the way and only 12 stone.

Ah - I try and drink about 4l of water a day too - makes me feel SO much better.

And I even gave smoking up on Monday (again...:( ) to try and up my appetite!

Meal 1 - 4 weetabix
Meal 2 - protein shake
Meal 3 - Tuna and wholemeal bread
Meal 4 - Cottage cheese/fruit/veggies/chicken - depends on what i feel like
Meal 5 - protein shake
Meal 6 - chicken or steak(lots of)

2 hours between each.
Gym every day except sunday
 
im 12 stone! need to bulk up nicely, my aim is 13 stone...bit of a setback at the moment but ill be back!

baldogg did you ever compete or anything? just you know loads of stuff etc
 
Im just getting started mate..Ive only been lifting for about a year and only 6 months seriously. My gym partner really knows his stuff so ive picked up a lot.

Im in no shape to compete :(
Ive come out of my bulking phase and while im at my desired weight(17st), ive now got a bit of a belly :(

Just about to start cutting phase :( So boring, So much cardio

AMEN! I hate cardio - I get away with it as I do my cardio when I do the wrestling and shoot training. Nothing worse than half an hour on a bike or summink - no amount of little graphical men in a race helps me either!

Interesting fact - two weeks ago on a show in Bedworth, I was ejected from the ring by none other than Shaun "Dinosaur" Davis. Man - is that guy big! Bet he eats his greens...

I dont really have a fixed diet, but i try to keep to healthy foods, tuna etc, i always drink a lot of water. And i may have to start buying some protein shake. could anyone tell me whats the best stuff/cost?

Ive been going up the gym 5 months but only really started focussing on free weights the last month or 2. Im 15 stone and am planning to add on more muscle
 
Who are you calling a 'lifter? ;)

Daily food intake, average working day:

08:30 Breakfast (usually a teacake with 2 sausages and 2 hash browns), at least one can of pop, usually two.
10:00 Bag of crisps, can of pop.
12:00 Chip butty or Baked Potato with a pint in the pub
15:00 Crisps/Ice cream, can of pop and a chocolate bar
17:30 snack (whatever is in the cupboard at home)
19:00 Burger King, Maccy's, KFC or something at home if my parents decide to make me something
21:00-22:00 Pizza if I didn't have anything at 19:00. Possibly a few pints too.
 
LMAO! Gilly - I notice your diet is extremely high in both taste and satisfaction.

Im pretty bigish..Not huge tho....Hopefully i should look huge when i get this darned bodyfat down...Im still at a 35" waist at 17stone though so im quite happy about that.

No requirement to eat for fuel, and that is honestly an average day's food intake. Give or take a few more drinks of pop.

I get enough sugar to keep me going in activities, I'm thin and defined, but not skinny (6'2" and over 13 stone) and just about happy with my appearance (slightly more definition would be nice, but not too much).

What need have I to watch what I eat? Until I get a bit older that is, and begin to lose the ability to naturally burn off as much suger...
 
lol gilly how can you seriously drink so much fizz? its disgusting!

yeh balddog photos would be cool! lol...what are your max lifts?
 
Dont' drink anything else. Sometimes I'd have a water but not usually, and I'll often have a 2ltr bottle of pop in my room too, for any time I get a bit thirsty.

Don't drink any hot drinks, apart from maybe hot blackcurrant or hot chocolate...
 
omg!!! dont you drink water or ne thing? fizz is manky, it like sticks to your teeth

hot blackcurrent is damn gorgeous tho :) cant beat it!
 
i bought the York stuff from argos and its pretty good tbh, nothing fancy and is probably pretty much rubbish...bought it about a year ago when i first started lifting, came with 4 tubs of the stuff, only got one left (i didnt stay strict to it)..pretty good, tastes ok...
