Daily Mail pwned.

The Daily Mail is a ****ing atrocious website, not content but the editing of everything. Appalling res screenshots of TV programs and stuff, taking videos off YouTube which are most likely in copyright infringement of the program or show they've been ripped from.

Look at the state of the res of the cheese packets - http://goo.gl/vBuap

he should have switched it with gay porn*... given their readership they'd have taken a lot of flack for it.

*bonus points if it involved 'Muslims' 'asylum seekers' or 'gypsies'

I'd imagine the Daily Mail have access to and the ability to pay for far more legal advice than the dreadful website they leached from.

The website in question would have done nothing wrong if they did this though, right?

Absolutely nothing at all.

I don't think it's as straight forward as that. Anyway, I only raised it to highlight that although the DM is a dreadfully parasitic website, there is a certain irony in the other website they leeched from.

Presumably the writer/admins/staff have the original gif cached and may not even realise it has been changed.
