Daisy chain Sata II?

I've heard this can be done. I have a system with 4 SATAII's and want to add another, but have no more spare SATA ports on the Mobo. Are there cables for this? Or can I do anything else?

You're limited to one drive per cable and one cable per mobo connector. You're only option really is to add a PCI or PCIe controller card.

Ok thanks for the advice.
I have the Intel D975X Mobo, that has it's own raid control.
I don't want to add the new drive as raid. Can these cards just be used to add an extra drive?

Yes, most of the newer RAID controllers will allow single drives to run in a sort of IDE emulation mode. Failing that set it up as a single disk RAID0 array.
