A hacker keeps taking control of my hot mail and my ea account. I've changed them back only for them to reset them and now i cant get in at all :/ For some reason my my trusted pc wont reset my hotmail, i'm guessing it's due to a reformat? It's really doing my head in :/ I've done a virus check and had some that i've now cleared but i dont know what to do as it's really annoying.

Not sure what to do to be honest :/

I couldnt because it wouldnt let me change it due to it not recognising my pc as the trusted pc and then they changed it before i could install windows live essentials as you need that to confirm changes (which is a load of bull). I think the email address thats taking it is something like [email protected] or something like that.

Well ichanged it with them yesterday, but if the hacker is going to keep changing it back with ease then what the hell can i do? ;/

Go check round the back of your pc for a physical key logger or something?

Also is your network secure?

Open a new email account to change it away from your hotmail too? Most of the people I had on msn (back when it was cool) have had their hotmail's hacked so msn is now a bit pointless

Yeah i think i'm going to have to change all my accounts to a different email if i can get into the old one and recover my ea account too. Just annoying. I have a firewall on the router and on my pc plus no physical keylogger. Wish i could rip this hacking ***** balls off!

I chuckled.

In fairness thought, yes it's annoying.

Someone - to have done it twice, is clearly watching you or whating to annoy you!

Change account passwords, possibly even change the account registered email address, change seceret questions and answers and any other password forgotten mechanism.

However, before you do this......check you system FULLY for malware...even do an reinstall!

The thing is, i was in the process of installing that crappy microsoft essentials to change all my security settings but he hacked me just as i was changing them as i was still logged in so it wouldnt accept my changes :S

Did you have a firewall on at this point?

Thats what i was in the process of doing lol! I cant recover it at all now as it's saying i've tried too many times today :/

I assume your reinstall is with legit media and not some warez copy that potentially comes with root kit flavor?

EDIT: if they are this persistant tho it almost sounds personal - you sure its not someone you know IRL messing around?
