I get this too. I also get e-mails telling me my Runescape account's security is compromised. I've never played Runescape! :confused:

well the problem is you cant change the security things on anything but your trusted pc, because i've done a reformat it doesnt recognise my pc now hence having to install the microsoft essentials before i can confirm the changes. I didn't know that and didnt install it in time before the git re-hacked it!

And now i can't recover it at all at the moment!

GMail seems pretty good for security. As well as the authenticator it also warns you if someone has logged in from an unusual IP. I did once log in to have it tell me my account had been accessed from China which was worrying but I've changed my password and set-up the authenticator had no problems since.

Reformat again then change all details relating to the account, including username, email address and password. Also change your wireless password if you have one set.

if they were rainbow tabling his passwords they'd need to find some way of obtaining a hash of his password.

he's probably been keylogged, rootkitted or social engineered, none of which i consider hacking :mad:
