Lol Vistas score thingy is stupid, ignore it.

If it really does bother you that much, go get another drive and stick it in RAID 0.

heh, I just found it a bit odd that's all! on my previous upgrades the hdd has been faster than most of the other components but this time round things have changed!

Its pants, on some installs my 7200.10 gets 5.7, other times it gets 5.8 ;/
Just ignore it and be happy with pc

Just because the OP is surprised that his HDD doesn't get a better score does not mean that he is anal about benchmarks. He was just commenting and wondering what would get a better score.

Mine is listed the same except for my CPU which is 5.0
I have a WD Raptor as my boot drive and thats only getting 5.7 too

My friend has a Western Digital Raptor 150GB version and he gets 5.9. If you have the same one that just proves the Vista score thingy is a piece of crap.

perhaps it also takes the pagefile into account, reckon it's better to put it onto a 2nd hdd (I have a 7200.10 as a mydocs disk too) on Vista ?
