I have a gigabyte ud7 x58 with a i7 950.

just seen the specs of the bulldozer and now i know this could mean nothing as clocks dont mean nothing really as a similarly clocked intel could fare better or worse. but its getting me all juicy so id like to know if upgrading to bulldozer or sandy would see any improvements ove rmy 950. its a workjhouse and i dont just game, i use photoshop and cubase, i also do sound design so sometimes surround sound design. when i do game its things like crysis 2 or metro 2033 etc. id like winrar to work faster but im guessing an sd upgrade will sort that.

The bulldozer does seem too good to be true, it has everything and for a tiny price tag. But I dont know much about AMD's so... It does look very good so go for it :)

Surely the answer is to wait and see.

It's not like your system is crying out for an upgrade.

Wait for some proper information and benchmarks on Bulldozer.

no point to upgrade for you,you wont notice any big jump, your system is perfectly good :D
better save some $ for next gen cpus and graphics

unless your software can make use of all 8 cores on Bulldozer you probably won't see much improvement from upgrading.
