DAMN! - 'Sub of The Day' has gone up in price to £2.29

only people that eat in my local subway are 6th form students that seem to think its good eating.

When I worked at MOD Abbey Wood 10 years ago, people were complaining when the on-site sandwiches jumped from £1.75 to £1.99. Considering that wasn't too bad a price for a sarnie back then, I would say that £2.29 definitely isn't a bad price 10 years later.

1/2Kg of carrots - 50p
1 onion - 8p
Chicken stock cube - 7p
Salt & Pepper - free.
2 teaspoons of Cumin / Coriander spices - 5p
1 Chilli - 5p
Some mint - 5p
1Lt of tap water - free

Cooked slowly and then blended.

Approx 80p for two lunches worth of Indian Carrot & Chilli soup. Both tastier and a lot healthier. Subway is one of the unhealthiest things you can eat for lunch. Check out the high-fructose corn syrup content of their breads alone. Not good !

How can a sub be unhealthy? Salad, chicken, cheese, some sauce O_o.

For one, the bread is high GI rubbish. Im guessing the sauces arent great either. This isn't to say I've never/wont have them, I'm just not under the false pretense they're healthy.
