Anyone fed up with googles constant tinkering with the home page?

i.e. if I'm looking for an address on maps, I just type it in the address bar in chrome.

Previously, in the results page, it would give me options at the top, web, images, video, maps etc etc

This was handy as I could search for a road and go straight to it in google maps by clicking the link.

Now, they've done away with that bar and everythings in that drop down panel on the left, so it takes two clicks to get anywhere as I have to expand the panel. AND if I want to go to maps, it takes three clicks as I have to expand the panel, click places, then click the map.

AAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGHHHH!!!!

This upsets me greatly, google worked perfectly and now they're just arsing about removing functionality in the name of making it look pretty.

So... Is there a fix?

Yeah I used to get really annoyed by this aswell, but as Martini saysid a quick reinstall should sort it.

Had the same problem for the past few days. Drives me absolutely mad. Honestly has me thinking about moving to Bing

Only happens some of the time and clearing my cookies & cache, then restarting Firefox tends to fix it for a while.

Was wondering if it was just me as I couldn't find any mention on the internet.

Those links are still visible in my version. Try reverting back to an older version, you might have unwittingly updated Google. I don't have the EXE file unfortunately so you'll have to Google for it.

I still have all the links across the top AND the icons down the side, but i'm using a hacked version of google so don't know what the regular version is like atm.

HOWEVER

There is now no maps button on the google page! This is retarded! Half the times I go to google it is to look at maps. You cannot say that google doesn't need a maps button, because it does!
