Damn you Valve - You've gone & ruined my favourite game

mp_dynamicpricing 0 :). Still get free ammo :( and buy menu is still changed , but weapons are still there normal price.

Not perfect , but has to do for now.

Theve just made it so u use all the guns in the game , not just deagle and ak47, which aint a bad thing tbh

i think thats what first attracted me to gungame servers - the fact that you HAVE to learn to use every gun to progress in a game. gungame rocks, and im now far better with a a nade and a knife

More info please... what are these gungame servers?

Also my fav weapon, the Deagle, is stupidly expensive... It's over $1600! Still, if I do get it, I can usually kill someone then use thier shottie/ak/whatever theyv'e got. :)

Nice, So this means that i can go into a server and the other team will not be made up entirely of awps, i might just need go back to css now :p

yeah, but kevlar is going to cost a bomb, cos everyone wants it.

Erm the new update sucks

simply because they have changed the buy menu and removed primary and secondary ammo options, now they just give you full ammo for all your guns you buy!

It's an absolute JOKE!

They have ruined competitive play with this and its only going to get worse.

The dev's just must not play this game compititivly at all!, yea they might play it public now and again but it sucks for clans and for ladders!

I for one will never be buying a valve game again until they sort this one out.

@ previous post

Agreed. I've yet to see WHY this is a bad thing, and I used to play clan style myself. This forces the teams and 'pros' to adapt to the situation. If they cant adapt to different weapons and are only good with one...well, hardly pro is it?

Adaption to circumstances, and learning to use all the weapons can only be a good thing, because IMO, CSS, and CS in general is getting very stale.

It does add a nice change to my games but as I'm only a casual player I can't say how bad it is for clan members/matches. Didn't really see anything wrong with the old system myself.

you seem to forget that people who are actually good at cs aim. Doesnt matter which gun they use if they are forced they will still out shoot your average 'thinks they are good' player. Source was always doomed come back to 1.6 :D

I think a few ladders (probably most, I don't know about others except for ED) are requiring matches to be played with dynamic pricing turned off, so no change apart from the free ammo.

The change of menus was a little annoying as I've been typing those combos since early CS betas, but I can get used to it. Full ammo is handy. Not too sure on what they were wanting to get from varied weapon pricing though.

imo CSS went downhill a few updates a go. Haven't played it since, Valve seem determined to change the game's dynamics with each release. Go back to CS 1.6 :p

I think the CSS money thing is ridiculous tbh, it completely changes how the game will be played. Basically the team that's doing well will get the big expensive armour and weapons, while the team that isn't will be stuck with the worst weapons. This always happened to some degree before, but with the prices being significantly higher its going to be far more crippling.
