Dampness in flat. How do you deal with it?

hi we have this problem in our flat and we got a dehumidifier, and it works really well also we have a setting for drying clothes this will dry a large clothes horse in 8 hours.
Ours cost £99, we do rent and told our landlord about the problem and they purchased this for us

You had an electric bill covering the usage period yet?

its hard to tell but my husband said this has added about £5-£10 a month to run it, but that is better than having mould around the flat.
But in our flat one of our walls you could see the water dripping down and this has solved it all now.
In my opinion though it is worth it even for drying the clothes as there is nothing worse than having clothes hanging around to dry inside.

Basically they dont run all the time, you put them on a setting and once it reaches the right humidity it cuts off till it needs to "top-up"
You will be amazed when you empty the tank how much moisture is in the air:)

We have this problem in the bedroom too. It's far too cold to have the windows open at this time of year. We have electric wall heaters and they are pants.

If you're feeling like you want something fancy then look at the Mitsubishi Lossnay systems - they do full air exchange with minimal heat loss. They aren't cheap but they work really well.
