Dancing in Clubs

It really ***** me off when someone (usually my missus drunk mum) trys to force me into dancing. Because that makes me look like an arse (because I out and out refuse)
Same here. I don't totally hate dancing, just moderately dislike it. I can also only dance in about 5 min stints because both my knees are pretty shot.

Mrs N loves to dance but is understanding that I'd rather watch from a distance, preferably the bar, and then leap onto the floor whenever the mood or a particular tune gets me.

Advice for dancing: close your eyes (it helps you forget there are other people about) and go where the rythmn takes you, then open your eyes again and keep going. Don't be afraid to copy other people, though not mimicking their every move which would be wierd. Find something that works for you, stick with it and see how it develops.

there's nothing more BORING then watching blokes prop up the bar all night and not join in.

You've got a girl so the hard part is done - no need for that dancing lark. Let your woman wear herself out whilst you sample the fine urine beverages that the club has to offer

Why not? Do you drink?

It's always good when they play sweet child of mine, or bohemian rhapsody when your with a group of friends who as bladdered as you :p

I drink yes, but getting drunk doesn't influence me to dance.

jay kay what a god!!
there are a number of ways to approach issue...

'don white golves, glow sticks and whistle and throw moves like 'big fish, little fish and cardboard box!' :D'

'be adventurous like jay kay and soon clear space, an admiring crowd who give you loads of room and away you go!!!'

'stick close to the lady and move from the hips she'll love it, but dont over do it, you may need some hip movement later in the night Iyeee!'

'plain and simple, take your time and ultimately enjoy it, it can be agreat night out'
:D :D

Some of these answers are quite amusing...

Just get drunk and jump or flail about. As long as the people you're with are dancing you wont feel like a pillock. No one is ever going to stop you and say "WTF do you think you're doing?" so you've got nothing to worry about. The only thing I'd suggest though, is that if you're going to jump about; try and avoid jumping into other people or strangers because it's a quick way to make an enemy :p

If all else fails mate, keep it simple: just sway to the beat.

Just think, there's atleast another 50 people around you dancing and so long as you're not the VERY worst of them all, you'll be fine.

Just keep stamping your feet in time - being in time is the thing that impresses girls most - keep it simple n controlled - less is more! - and Smile :D

If you cant dance, dont, your likely to be laughed at very hard by other people in the club.

Some people can dance some cant, you can always notice who can and cant.

Ive seen some people trying to dance in clubs and nearly been peeing my pants where ive been laughing so much.

the joke's on you, cos they're probably having a great time, having abandoned self-consciousness.
