Dangerden @ OcUK

the whole alphacool range again, then i won't have to get them from competitors ;) considering stocking any more watercooling parts or just dangerden, cause XSPC are ace i have heard, and aquacomputer make proberbly the best waterblocks you can buy (in terms of sheer precision) and slackworth, AMD 65nm chips, any ETA?

every bit of XSPC I've seen has been rubbish apart from their tubing which I use religiously (about to crack out about 12 ft of it for todays project ;))

I've just fitted an EK 7950gx2 block to my gfx card and man.. what a lovely piece of kit.. highly recommended..

OCUK, I thikn if you're going to do it you might as well do it right, you have the size to demand terms of the likes of EK, alphacool, aqua computer, aqua extreme etc.. you might as well go for it seeing as water cooling is pretty mainstream nowadays.

XSPC are just rebadges of imported items, not an actual manufacturer, just a brand. Search for Cool-Trek Vostock ( http://www.pccasegear.com/prod3221.htm - Australian Company, not a competitor).

Take Chinese manufactured parts and stick yer own badge on them. Same company that makes the QP Series rads for Swiftech manufactures the parts in the above kit, and sells them under their own brand name "Cool-Trek" (sometimes also sold as "CoolTek"). The above kit is the same as that advertised as the "XSPC" kit. May as well go direct to chinese source and rebrand as "OcUK Kit" than buy it in and resell as XSPC kit... more profit to be had in it that way.

but are they any good ?

*shrug* No-one's done any quality testing on them to any degree... most suppliers when asked to submit a sample or provide any evidence of performance figures refuse.

Any news on when we are going to see theses new products? I've been looking everyday and I've only seen a few additions. I will need to be ordering soon, just waiting to see if OcUK get them first in because they are local.

POLARFLO BLOCKS!!!

Yer kidding?? Worst seller in the history of watercooling in the UK... WAY overpriced and way underperforming. Look pretty, but that's all...

well there TT CPU blocks perform more or less identical to asetek antarctica blocks, only they look better, the barb housing rotates (clever cause it'll make it easier to route stiff piping), they have universal mounting system and look fantastic, whats not to like, would hardly say there performance is bad, price would be great if anywhere inside the UK sold them, but guess what, nowhere does, there TT GPU blocks are fairly good performers as well, and look fantastic, the last thing being im not cooling a prescott so you know, just there blocks look proberbly the best (more creative than danger den, swiftech and what not whose blocks all look bland, with the exception of the apogee, which is nice and shiny) there proberbly the worse selling blocks in UK history cause no where stocks them, like nowhere at all in this entire country  im basically being FORCED to buy either danger den, swiftech, XSPC or alphacool since i cannot get other blocks from anywhere, its pretty crap to be honest

A certain company used to - ie: me, and they still have us listed as UK Reseller when we haven't carried their products for a good 8 months... the prices were around £50 for the CPU Block. Sales on them were the lowest we'd ever seen on a watercooling product. Performance wasn't up to scratch. Cheaper DD TDX beat the PolarFlo TT in terms of performance in every kit I installed, and the barbs were so close together you couldn't use 1/2" ID tubing and get clamps on at same time. Had to use cheap thinwalled tubing and zipties, which kinked at every opportunity. Eventually we had to sell the lot off for a huge loss just to get rid of the dead stock. Couldn't find any thirdparty fittings that'd fit them either so could only offer them in 1/2". Wouldn't fit a lot of popular boards as mounting bracket is too lowdown physically on the block and fouls components around the socket...

TBH, 1 in 2 out CPU Blocks should all be scrapped these days. 1in 1out blocks can offer the same performance for much less hassle.

(and they are still available in UK - the company we sold them all to cheap to get rid still have the Polarflo Chrome/Red TT block listed at £46.50 exc VAT... you just need to hunt around more. "polarflo tt uk" into Google brings up the company on the first page of results...)

you used XSPC X20 xtreme block, how does that compare to the apogee, anyways it was the TT VGA one i was interested in, i have one (got it just randomly, black/chrome) and i use SLI rig, just wondering if theres any chance of getting another one for the other card, or alternatively could it be used as a chipset block? :)

Put it simply, apogee wins. TT VGA Blocks pop up all over the place on EBay and forum classifieds - google "polarflo vga black chrome for sale"... They're all available in UK, just not necessarily new. Most folks that bought `em sold `em shortly afterwards due to tops being chrome-plated aluminium.

lol i hope so cause i ordered one this afternoon, along with two DD maze 5s, reservior, pump, tubing, mosfet block (taking the heatpipe off) radiator with two aerocool 'turbine' fans, the polarflo block fits my chipset perfectly :) so im gonna use that as chipset block, sound like a decent system? 1/2" tubing and connections all the way with a 1200LPH pump with a lifting height of around 2 metres (6 6")
