If for example just drinking wine - most people (well I do anyway) pass out after about 2.5 bottles, so it's like a natural limit on how much you can drink so the next day you aren't still utterly destroyed, just a wee bit hungover.

With Vodka + Red Bull the Red Bull keeps you awake no matter how drunk you get - so as a result I still feel drunk from going out on Monday where I must have had a few pints and close to a litre of vodka + about 12 cans of Red Bull. It's dangerous I'm sure!

I don't remember anything of Monday night but I think I got into a fight in LuLu (I wouln't have been fighting as I'm the least aggressive drunk you'll ever meet) but they threw me out anyway apparently - then I came round in my bathroom at about 7am with no idea how I got home. I then woke up my flatmate and he told me to go away and threw his pillow at me so I just decided to go to uni anyway carrying a pillow and a bottle of water. On the way there I broke into a building site and fell backwards into a skip.

Passed out in my midday lecture and then came home and spent the rest of the day napping, then slept last night and woke up at 9am today and I still feel a bit drunk. I'm a MESS I need to work!

that amount of caffine could kill you + that amount of vodka could as well your lucky to be alive

i like my caffine but thats pushing it

Sounds a heck of a night :/

That's why I never drink silly amounts. I hate not knowing what has happened

You got into a fight with Lulu?

Red bull never keeps me awake. You just need to balance out your drunkenness. Never be more awake through Red Bull than you are tired from being drunk.

Yeah it's becoming the popular promotional drink for many clubs i.e. Double Vodka redbull for £2.50.

Offers great value but you think promoters would be less to key to push it so hard. Large amounts Redbull get people really riled up and Vodka is a notorius spirit for making people get chavvy and then blackout.

And that's the reason me and my mates call them memory erazers...

I always get to sleep fine after having them though.

red bull is very strange stuff. i did once survive an eitre night on vodka and redbull. it seems to cancel out the effects of alchohol somewhat, i was well in to double figures on the vodka+ redbulls,m and most of those were double shots themselfs. it's terrifying to think how much i really drank that night, and surprising just how coherent i still was. i didnt fall over once. which is good i guess lol.

What was interesting were the after effects of that much red bull the next day, though not surprising. my hand s were shaking, i was sweating ect. i wont do it again thats for sure.

from the wiki:

Caffeine intoxication

An acute overdose of caffeine, usually in excess of 500 milligrams – about six 8 fluid ounce cups of brewed coffee – can result in a state of central nervous system over-stimulation called caffeine intoxication.[69] Some people seeking caffeine intoxication resort to insufflation (snorting) of caffeine powder, usually finely crushed caffeine tablets. This induces a faster and more intense reaction. The symptoms of caffeine intoxication are not unlike overdoses of other stimulants. It may include restlessness, nervousness, excitement, insomnia, flushing of the face, increased urination, gastrointestinal disturbance, muscle twitching, a rambling flow of thought and speech, irritability, irregular or rapid heart beat, and psychomotor agitation.[66] In cases of much larger overdoses mania, depression, lapses in judgment, disorientation, loss of social inhibition, delusions, hallucinations, psychosis, rhabdomyolysis, and death may occur.[70][71]

In cases of extreme overdose, death can result. The median lethal dose (LD50) of caffeine is 192 milligrams per kilogram in rats.[1] The LD50 of caffeine in humans is dependent on weight and individual sensitivity and estimated to be about 150 to 200 milligrams per kilogram of body mass, roughly 80 to 100 cups of coffee for an average adult taken within a limited timeframe that is dependent on half-life. Though achieving lethal dose with caffeine would be exceptionally difficult with regular coffee, there have been reported deaths from overdosing on caffeine pills, with serious symptoms of overdose requiring hospitalization occurring from as little as 2 grams of caffeine.[72][73][74][75] Death typically occurs due to ventricular fibrillation brought about by effects of caffeine on the cardiovascular system.

Treatment of severe caffeine intoxication is generally supportive, providing treatment of the immediate symptoms, but if the patient has very high serum levels of caffeine then peritoneal dialysis, hemodialysis, or hemofiltration may be required.

so no, unless your a 2 stone dwarf, that amount of caffeine wont kill you. a can of red bull is what, 80mg of caffeine? 12 cans of it would be just under a gram of the stuff. it sure isnt healthy regardless though.

Very very unlikely unless you are already intolerant to caffeine, Red Bull has 80mg of caffeine per can and for humans the estimate for a lethal dose is about 150-200mg per kg of bodyweight so you are talking about considerably more than 12 cans.

Red Bull and Vodka isn't really any worse for you than any other alcoholic drink if you don't go stupid with it, I just quite like the taste of it and the fact that it makes me feel more awake for a period although that is probably as much due to the placebo effect as anything else.
