dark age of camelot 2

I just did.

Kinda hard to get my head round, I'm used to the modern mmo conventions like a onscreen radar and quest helper.

Could you help me out ingame? Or show me a guide that will help me out?

Thanks my man.

Oh yes DAOC has quite a bit of depth to it there is a lot to learn, and it was made back in the old days so not so much hand holding going on when you start. You can choose 3 realms, I have characters on Midgard or Albion so will be glad to give you a bit of gold to help you start out.

When you decide which realm you will go for (Albion is a bit underpopulated at the moment) you can do some quests in the starter area to help get you to level 5. Once you can reach level 5 (should take a hour or so) you can train your character properly.

The grind and PVE stuff is pretty boring in all honesty, where this game shines is the PVP battles. You can start going PVP once you are level 30+ (the first PVP zone is level 20-35, so if you go at level 20 you will get your arse handed to you).

Filthy hibbies and mids. I was in "The Seven" guild on Prydwen way back when. The keep, tower and relic sieges used to be so much fun, the hours used to disappear. (I played scout which is why I loved sieges so much).

Elite IV then this , surely there must be a big asteroid on collision course with Earth the day before release.

I really don't know why the haven't made DAOC FTP i'd be back in a shot, i was subbed upto a year ago.

Well Mark Jacobs posted some more information yesterday about the first Foundation Principle here. He will post more over this month, each Principle is a rule that neither him nor his team will break. This is so that when the kickstarter begins next month there is a solid idea of basics and we know if it's worth backing.

I'm excited for this, I did love DAoC and WAR was great in the beginning. Depending on how his kickstarter pitch turns out I think i'll back it.

I loved DAOC, to the fact i have many characters on the 3 diff realms, my highest was a 6L6 SB, yeah i know not that high but i loved the game, would go back in a heartbeat if it was F2P thats for sure.

What worries me with Camelot Unchained is losing what made DAOC so great, Tri Realm RVR is confirmed which is awesome, non instanced PVP kinda irks me as i loved Thidranki etc, i felt it was vital to learn the ropes of the endgame at lower lvls etc.

Also i loved a lot of the PVE in the game, the lore was brilliant, it was a bit behind times with other MMO's PVE content though (EQ1 etc) but it got better, i loved TOA, i know it was Marmite for a lot, many hated it and cite it as the direct downfall of the game, i agree the grinding on relics was stupid, but i loved ML Raids etc.

And i bet of them oh god PLEASE put in a Darkness Falls, i firmly believe if DAOC had gotten its PVE right, it would still be played today by many many people. its PVE let it down even though i loved a lot of it, it just didnt seem to catch up with the times.

Im stoked to see how it turns out though and will be funding this for sure

A new update has been posted on http://citystateentertainment.com/camelotunchained/

Basically all those newbies used to hand holding from games like WoW, SWtor and GW2 will be left behind by old school systems.

Sounds better and better with each news update. I remember the days in early DAoC where it took days of constant grinding just to get 1 level! 3 days of solid grinding to get 48-50 on my Shadowblade in a group chain farming drakulv in malmo... ahh the memories.

when i open the Daocportal and go to settings where it says cliant info in black text it says its invalid i try patching it and i get this error

Level up, its just like a normal server as far as I know, but with classic frontier (how they should be) and no TOA
