I just wanted to share my thoughts on this case.

For a while now i've been looking for a case to replace my ageing Corsair 650d.

Well the 900 pro ticked all the right boxes for me :-

Support for large radiators

Plently of space for Hdd's

5.25 bays for my fan controller/dac

Seemingly good cable management.

Well first unboxing impressions are that the case is sturdy, well built and looks great.

But thats about the only positives i can give it.

The advert says "Outstanding Flexability" when it really means "ultimate compromise"

For example , thick 360 rad in the top ? No problem , but say goodbye to the front 5.25 drive bays.

360 Rad in the front ? No problem , say goodbye to all the front drivebays, but its ok, there is space for one ssd in the rear pannel.

Support for E-ATX motherboards ? totally, bye bye cable management ! , P.s good luck getting to the sata ports.


Maybe i'm the problem here and i'm expecting too much , but my 6 year old 650D is still in my view a better case, it has better cable management, you can install the drive cages in more than one location and it has proper support for E-ATX motherboards.

My search continues............
 
I understand where you're coming from, but many cases these days are recognising the fact that lots of people don't use 5.25" bays anymore (I haven't in years), and even 3.5" drives are dwindling with SSD and M.2 use proliferating. For those people who require them in abundance, I think looking ahead it's going to become harder finding a case that does it all.

Cable management certainly doesn't seem to be one of the 900's strengths though, I've seen this just from looking at the builds done in it.
 
Cable management on mine was "ok" but not great. I don't use any 5.25" drives or any 3.5" HDDs.

MY 3 x SSD's are just dangleing behind the mobo tray as there isn't anywhere to mount them (I also have a NVME SSD)
 
The problem is that, as with the other thread, there are many more devices than just 5.25" optical drives that can (and do) make use of the 5.25" bays.
Also, until a single 16TB SSD is affordably available, having to lose all 7 of the drive bays like that is just not useful.
 
Yeah i have to agree with the OP,I got the non pro version for a build and was a litle disappointed tbh.
Build quality is good but it has some real problems, putting the psu in is very fiddly have to undo 4-6 tiny screws to remove the plates. it does'nt have screwless HDD bays which is irritating.and i did find cable managment harder then i normaly would.
Having said that it looks great and is massive, also completely silent.
