Dark chocolate

never been a fan of dark chocolate, don't like coffee either.

bitter things don't really do it for me, too much of a sweet tooth.

I used to be like that many years ago (when I were a lad.:p).

If you gradually wean yourself off sugar you eventually lose the taste for its sweetness and you begin to appreciate the natural sweetness of foods that previously you wouldn't have considered sweet, giving up sugar in tea and coffee is usually a good start.

Then again you could be a supertaster which means your palette is more sensitive to bitterness, if this is the case then you probably don't like the taste of kale, brussel sprouts etc. Supertaster.

i like grapefruit

My wife got me some of the 85% Lindt. More bitter and less sweet, but still excellent. Can see it becoming a nicely acquired taste, this one.

Try Hotel Chocolat. Wife and I refer to their mailings as the chocolate porn catalogue.
I was with them for a good 6 months. Great chocolate all round but bugger me the spam they send you was just absolutely off the scale. Last week I their chocolate club after getting sick of it. 4-5 mails a day were hitting me about their latest offers despite unsubscribing off their mail list. Shame the nearest store to me is miles away.

Tried the Hotel Chocolat chilli chocolate recently. Have to agree it was horrible. Nasty blend that I guess is an aquired taste...

Love Green and Blacks, both the milk (32%) and the 70% dark. Anything over 70% is too bitter for me though.

I'd shoot out a recommendation for Montezuma's chocolate too if no-ones tried it.

It's interesting how your taste buds adapt over time.

A few years ago Cadburys Bournville tasted bitter to me, now its far too sweet.

I only ever eat dark chocolate and Lindt 90% is my usual go to. I remember first tasting it and compared it to plastic. Now it tastes perfectly sweet and creamy!

You may as well eat a tablespoon of sugar.

Haven't tried the 90% Lindt yet, 85 is currently my max.

Its funny because when ever they give away the 90% theres always boxes and boxes of it left, because no one wants it.

My current fav is the chilli one, the new strawberry white chocolate bars are amazing, but i don't think they are on sale yet, look out for them when they are.

The Lindt stuff was slightly reduced in Tesco so I picked up some of the Sea Salt one to try.

I've had the chilli one before and wasn't that impressed, it can work though. I also tried the wasabi flavour but that is really weird. Mustard-y flavour doesn't go well with the chocolate for me.

I do love some nice dark chocolate though 75% is good. Goes a bit to bitter after that. If you shop in Aldi I can recommend the Mosher Roth stuff, handy as it comes in individually wrapped bars:

Just got some of the Lindt 70% and this is the stuff I really like. Just so amazing and... sexy. The sweet and bitter combination is perfect.
