Dark days, AMD share price at lowest ever.

aye no point cutting the price if there is no stock i expect a price drop as channel stock improves but for now they may aswell milk it. Since it's in such constraint.

Unfortunately this is quite true, another one of those business practises that people don't like, of course this time its AMD so I'm sure we are about to be told it ok. ;)

The point is older or not it does have the features Freddie1980 thought it didn't, given they do have those features its not an issue.

Your right, it does have support for USB3 and SATA 6Gbps natively, I assumed that when I read about the ASmedia chip supplying these features it would be like the auxiliary chips on my GA x58a UD3R giving support but not doing it well.

Your four year old board is probably doing a better job than mine is. (mine is older though, I think ;) )

It is really good to see AMD doing so well in the price of their shares. quite a turn around from their lowest share price a year ago when this thread was started.

I've just gone back and reread the first 50 or so posts and all I can say is WOW, just about everybody thought that AMD was done for, and were beyond saving. But here we are 3 years on and AMD are doing well, it has been a hard slog against tough competition, but their CPU line now with Zen architecture is great in both the home user, and server market. The GPU's, well now that AMD has a bit of money coming in maybe they can fight back against NVidia, something I think it is safe to say we would all like to see.

Anyhoo - this thread is about the death pf AMD not it's glorious victory.

Quite right, humbug did start a new thread For the more uplifting news and more recent financial reports, but he posted it in the CPU section, which doesn't get used as much.

Maybe a mod could move it over to the graphics card section. ;)

Don't get me wrong it is great to have a thread I started still being used 3 years latter, but the title certainly no longer reflect AMD current position.
