Went to play DMoM&M today, and it got past all the vids. Stopped at the screen with the logo, the one before the loading bar pops up. Up flashes an error message:
The instruction at "0x2408b219" referenced memory at "0x2041fd50". The memory could not be "read". Click on OK to terminate the program

And on click it shuts down DM. Have tried:
Deleting Savegames - does nothing
Repairing it - does nothing
Tried all of my different shortcuts and the .exe itself.
Nothing works! HELP!!!

Its only just started happening today, worked fine 2 days ago. My Specs are:
Intel P4 3.00 Ghz (2 CPUs)
1Gb RAM
GeForce 6800 PCI-E
250Gb Hard Drive (56.7 Used)

HELP ME PLEASE!
 
I got error messages like that playing HL2, turns out my memory was failing. Do a memtest and make sure your memory is OK.
 
need to download memtest and set it going - it is a basic programme that will go through your memory and see if any of it fails.

Search for memory tests and download one.
 
Dark messiah has loads of bugs. Best to check out the ubisoft forums to get an answer. Im sure someone has had the same problem.
 
It wouldn't be a bad idea to read the FAQ about sig sizes aswell before you get a nice new yellow one ;)
 
I was unable to play Dark Messiah (DVD version) because of this problem coming up frequently, usually when loading a level. I fixed it by copying all the .gcf files from the Dark Messiah directory into Steam directory, reinstall the game from the Games screen in Steam. Once done Steam will probably show the game files as approx 79% ready (!). Then update the game using Steam (takes quite a while....). Once I did this the game shows 100% ready. Validate the cache files then launch the game.

Bit long-winded eh? But, since doing this I've played through about three chapters with no problems at all and game has been 100% stable. I suspect that there are some files missing or incomplete on the DVD version or there's something in the updates from Steam that fixes the problem.
