Dark Sector

I've played the 1st 4 chapters and at the start i found it quite interesting, especially chopping people to pieces with the glaide :D but it all started to feel a bit samey. Hide behind wall/shoot or throw glaide, run to next section then repeat.
 
yup edges review was spot on. it looks very good although the character motion animations are under par (when having played assassins creed) and its very repetative but im still getting some kicks out of it for now, the combat is just a little unvaried and suffers a bit for it.
 
The game is also broken. I rented it and finished chapter 4 and didnt get an achievement. I also didnt get one of the secret ones for killing a boss. :/
 
It's similar to GOW but i would prefer GOW any day over Dark sector, The level layout is a lot better and you can't beat online co-op

I got this and Condemned today and haven't played Comdemned yet but I know it will be better. Do NOT get Dark Sector. While it's not bad it does become repetitive and the achievements are broken.
 
Is getting a bit samey, but its quite enjoyable. Don't think its going to last very long either. Id get condemned 2 Nokkon and rent this.
 
Looking like Dark Sector is turning out to be a bit of a disappointment which is a shame. I might join a rental company again with all the games coming out.

I bought it and although its a good game, its not definitely one id recommend ot buy...reminds me of a poor mans version of Darkness but not as polished ie the controls i find very clunky to say the least...the glaive weapon that you have is virtually useless....it doesnt do much damage and neither does the other weapons you have...although if you want better weapons you need to find money in order to do so.

IGN gave it a 7/10 and thats about right...for me its pretty fustrating due to the crappy half arsed controls. Gfx are good though, its about the only redeeming quality of the game.

As for Condemned 2??, well im pretty disappointed in what could have been a really good game. The first one set the standard but this lets it down i feel...its more advanced but unlike the first one, this one is much more difficult ie the combos hardly work because the idiotic developers thought..why not use the triggers to launch attacks and believe me they dont work very well..its a **** poor control system if you ask me. Still the atmosphere is as good as the first one but honestly its another game i wished i hadnt bought as much as i hate to say it....as Condemned 2 was the game i was really looking forward to. Both games Dark Sector and Condemned 2 have had me pulling my hair out at the best of times...both are as equally fustrating as each other.

Dark Sector, is a good game ive found, just feels like a litlle by the numbers, and seems a tad empty, beautifull visuals though. I cant say ive found the Glave useless its good fun decapitating the enemy, and the finishing kills never get tired, but i have noticed the deaths arent as gory as the preview videos showed, it seems like they have been toned down?,So a good game, better than some of the rubbish out there, good fun, just dont expect anything revolutionary.

Condemned 2, one of my fave games on the 360, great story, if a little potty, good characters, more involving than the first, Yes the combat can get a little frustrating at times, but then i find nearly every game has its faults. great game.
 
its ok, another average shooting game, aiming feels a little off and the cover system ain't the best in the world, what you see in this has been bettered already i would say.
 
I started playing today and got stuck on the first level, i went outside, killed a load of guys, found lots of rocket launchers, killed everyone, went back inside, found a place to set a charge, that just beeps for ages and dosent blow up, now i have no idea what to do.

Games just shouldnt leave you high and dry like this, i dont know whether im supposed to find another charge to set, or i assume blow something up with rocket launchers, but nothing is destructable.

Ridiculous.
 
i have to say i have played past chapter 5 now and its getting really good! the story is starting to draw me in, my powers are getting greater and more interesting and the application of them is becoming fun! using the glaive after touch while standing behind cover to take out enemies is just awesome!

despite not being as polished as it should be it is getting very good! i still cant help think i want to play RES E 4 though =)
 
I think its good game, got it for £10 went traded in army of 2.

On 3rd level and stuck anyone help ? chopper flys over head head then battle in some type of court yard loads of emeies. kill them all where to go now ?
