Any darts fans on here ?? ... I have a feeling this thread will go down faster than a lead balloon

anyway here goes.

I have been on holiday for a few days but managed to watch the darts today... Another 9 darter for taylor , He has been close a few times over the last few TV tourns but always missed on 7, 8 dart and i thought the same was going to happen today because he was playing pretty pants (compared to how he was in PL and US open)

Barney match against barry was another great one today, coming back from 6-3 to level it had me stuck to the tv.

Should be a few belting matches (and some not so good) tomorrow.




Anyone else watch TV darts ?

I love my darts!

Awesome games so far, Mardle and Lewis was a cracker from the very first throw. Taylor again banging in a 9-darter again, I was going to bob a few quid on that happening as well! I cant see anyone beating Taylor but Im going to stick my neck out and go for Wade for the championship.

Anastasia Whatsherface was great as well, wish she had have won! :|

Agreed, todays play is on Sky Sports 2 at 1pm, and Sky Sports 1 at 7pm

Jones Vs Mawson (on now)
Van Der Voort Vs Thompson
Barney Vs Taylor (Always a great match)
Wade Vs Tabern
 
Mawson has done really well, so glad he won. Jones just looked really cranky and mumpy today :P

I think the winner of Barney v Taylor will play Wade in the Semis.
 
It's one of those GAMES that occasionally I enjoy playing, but can't watch even the pro's on tv for too long, like snooker. Like the latter mentioned ones I totally appreciate the skill involved and the mental toughness to do it consistantly.
 
Wade won it! Another major tournament to add to his collection in the past year.
Some nice darts from Mawson though.

Yep i have been really impressed by Mawson, I have seen him play a few times, mainly because of the interest he gets in the US open. Anyway i have never really been impressed by him at all, but today (earlier sessions) he was hammering in the doubles.

I am not really a fan of wade, although a great talent he's a bit of a steve davis (Boring) person.




edit: On another note a quick heads up for the next TV tournament, i dont think many people know about this one, it aint been advertised much.

Not that interested in the tournament itself though, the BDO is really lacking in top players at the moment... I should have qualified ;)
Would have won the Granite City Open next month too if it weren't for my trip to Laos at that time :p

yeah i agree with what you say about the BDO, it seems like the 'B' team now. As soon as all the dutch players moved i think that was the final nail in the coffin.

I will still watch it though i am happy with any TV darts i can get :p
 
I sell darts for a living :D so have no choice in getting blokes from all backgrounds and ages chatting on and on to me about the matches. Problem is I dont have bloody sky :mad:

Its the only reason I do have sky really, I dont watch much else.

I would love to see more live matches in this area, The best we have had is George, Brissy and Deller playing a legends exhibition. (it was a good night just not the same..lol)

I did go to Newcastle to watch the premier league last month and it was ace, I just wish more big tournaments would come up north :)... i guess we cant have it all eh :p
