What does it matter whether it's a sport or not?

All 'sports' (and many activities that you wouldn't call sport) are for entertainment purposes for the players, and for those watching. Looks like the players are having fun, and the people watching, so who cares if you don't want to call it a sport?

Indeed. These professionals probably practice about 10 hours a day and to consistently play darts for the length of period they do at the level they do, takes some doing.
