Just wondering has anyone found a Das Keyboard seller in the UK that isn't charging £130 like the only place i could find, seems quite high considering its $130 in the US.

Also how many of you have mechanical keyboards, and if so would you recommend the one you have?

Also could someone tell me the difference between the brown and other switch. Not the blue as I've heard of the double tapping issues.

I have a Filco Majestouch with Cherry MX Blue switches and I LOVE it! I now hate typing on any membrane keyboard! Get one, you won't be disappointed!

The Brown switch has a tactile "bump" when it activates but doesn't produce a click sound. The Black switch is linear so doesn't have a tactile "bump" or produce an audible click when actuated. The Blue switch (My favorite) has a tactile "bump" and produces an audible click when actuated. I've not had any issues double tapping on the Blues at all!

Cheers.

So many bloody options, torn between the Majestouch and the Das, both seem a little hard to source in the UK though.

EDIT: Couldn't trust me where u got your Filco from and also what games do you play, i imagine the double tapping won't be an issue on sc2 but i can see it bugging me maybe a little on FPS games.

Okay found a Das Keyboard on a german site, it has an EU layout as opposed to a UK one which the Das professional's have but the ultimate's don't, any ideas if there is a difference.

Zowie Celeritas? Uses MX Browns which are a brilliant compromise between gaming and typing.

Much prefer them to blues and blacks I've tried.
