70% of the income is from google adsense, blend the adverts into the page, and they display related adverts to the content on the page, when someone clicks u get paid.
20% is from affiliate links, for example if i review a product i have a buy it here type thing at the bottom that makes me 10% for any order that person places in the next 12 months, this does have potential to explode into loads of money.
The rest is made up from text link ads

Not to mention lots of free goodies to review, if your writing about something you love/have interest in, this is a very welcome bonus.
drive targetted traffic to your site using a variety of techniques, myspace and stumbleupon drive me hell a lot of traffic.
Read up on the digg effect and link baiting. I took my original hosts shared server down because of the amount of traffic it was recieving, they thought it was a ddos attack. Even after they realised it wasnt, the traffic was crashing the server, everytime they brought it back up, within half an hour it was down again.
I pretty much spent about 3 months reading websites about making money from blogs, thousands of articles. you should see my bookmark list!!!!!
