I think this was covered recently but for some reason can't find it.

The usual, any ideas on a good free piece of software for recovery off SD/CF/HDD's?

I just remembered SanDisk software but you can no longer get it from the site

What type of hardware we talking.. Hard drive or memory card?

Do you know what sort of fault is to blame here on the hardware (memory corruption, hardware fault, lost partition etc)

I lost a faulty HD in January this year (with a lot of pictures too) so have done lots of poking around in this subject.. post up some more details of the issue and I'll do what I can to help
