Data recovery

i have been having problems with my external HDD and I’ve basically had to format to get it back to working again.

Is there any free data recovery software out there to use? That works.

I came across easeUS but it was a free trial, found everything that was on the drive but was asking £69 to purchase the full edition.

Recuva. I've only ever used the free version and still haven't found the limits.

Quick format or full format? If it was a full then I think you've lost everything.

I’ll have to install the software one my desktop when I’m ashore so it Can be left on all the time
