Hello,

Posting this for my sisters boyfriend.

Right story goes;

I gave him my old gaming PC of which was a fresh XP install, and he wants ALL of his music from his last PC on the new one.

Whats the easiest and fastest way of this?

Both are USB 1 which is the problem :/

Any ideas?

Thought of CD/DVD's as data, but this will still take a long time no?

Ta for any input.

Another question, one of our PC's has been shutting itself down for a wee while now and we cant think what might be causing it. The temperatures are all okay, and dont seem to be troubling the computer, but could this be down to the PSU?

Its a *big breath* Q-Tec 550W.

Ta again.

Stick the hard drive of the old one in the new one (or other way round) and just copy accross?

PK!
Was gonna do that, dont suppose there would be any problem if the one that ill be putting in the new PC already has a windows install will there?

Aslong as i make sure it boots from the ones that are already there?

And the cable i was gonna suggest, but that means buying it :p

If it finds two systems it should ask you which one you want to boot. (I think, could someone confirm this or correct me)

windows will more than likely ask which one, I know thats what happens when you dual boot etc (the boot.ini is changed etc)
