Dave is the worst tv channel/idea ever

last week I turned the tv on and was seeing if its worth containing to pay for it and came across a channel called dave as far as i can tell its uktv gold without the good shows.

Naming a tv channel after a person is ridiculous too, the whole channel encapsulates whats wrong with TV today.

Afaik, its just an archive of UKTV's most succesful shows. (Although I didnt know UKTV showed Top Gear?)

Also, I think its supposed to be a comedy channel like Paramount. The logical meaning for the meaning would be that they got it from the long running joke in 'Only Fools and Horses', where Trigger used to call Rodney Dave (But thats just my own little theory)

Another vote for Dave being good. Some of the best comedy combined with a healthy dash of Clarkson is good for anyones constitution.

P.S. to OP you do realise that Dave used to be UKTV G2 don't you? and was just rebranded last year and added to freeview

I'm glad someone of such brilliant intelligence can give an informed, fair opinion on this TV channel, which happens to be everything that should be in a TV channel (no reality crap, which does contribute to the social degradation and celebrity culture we face today).

Yep Dave is really good, it does really take the best shows from UKGold and put them on. Quality channel.

I don't own a TV and only watch TV at my gf's place. Dave is the only channel I really watch, it's excellent.

It only seems to have 4 hours of tv during the day, which then gets repeated. I swear they were showing the same top gear eps twice in one day a while back. Apart from that and Who's Line is it Anyway, it's great.
