I'd also like to know why ministers are taking advice from the mothers union? This is busy body, patronising Christian organisation who's views belong somewhere in the 18th century. For this reason alone I'm out.

From what I have read all this change is going to do is force ISPs to offer you parental control software and give you instructions on how to set it up. So no ISP side filtering, no monitoring, no government software.

So what if you say 'no' to the having kids question even if you do? The ISP reports you and you get prosecuted? Under what act?

Nothing happens because the change will be directed at ISPs not consumers.

I knew those 3TB drives I just bought were a good idea.
I might buy loads and sell dvds in on eBay.. Customised lol.

So if i get this
Kids=no porn
No kids=porn is ok

Choice 2 is a win on both counts! It's the people with kids that need it the most! Rise in adoption cases? Lol

Seriously this really is a backwards step (backwards in terms of cultural development)
Why is porn considered worse than violence is beyond me.

May contain violence.. Who cares
May contain a nip slip.. Burn it

Because porn is to do with sex. Sex is enjoyable and is therefore wrong and unnatural and should be stamped out.

There needs to be a party that just wants to actually do the things people in this country can all agree on. It's all to focused on spiting another party and making themselves look good in the newspapers, and coming out with stupid ideas to appease a few people.

The problem with any political party is they do things to appease one class or one part of the country. We need a party that finds the middle ground between the two and doesn't pussy foot around things that need to be sorted out.

One of the Daily Mails previous 'moral crusades' from a few years back was the banning of all violent video games as children might play them.

I remember having to deliver the papers with a list of games that they wanted banning emblazoned across the front page.

Hopefully this one will end up being a failure as well.

Labour while fiscally inept over the long term clearly, had a grip on Government. Something Cameron has steadfastly struggled with for years now. It is one shambles to another, and it wasn't like this under Labour as much as I dislike them also.

You will not find the sort of politics you describe or proscribe in the mainstream UK offerings.

Phones already allow them to make their own porno films, so this legislation is too little far too late.
