I just thought id try and get David Ford some recognition, rarely hear him mentioned, and not many people seem to know of him. But since my mate introduced me to his music ive been hooked.

we went to see him live a few weeks back and I was mesmerized by his performance. Absolutely brilliant stuff.

check out his tracks here

tell me what you think.

And if he plays anywhere near you, make the effort to go see him if you can, you will be blown away :)

And make sure to listen to his cover of "Theres a Light that never goes out", amazing version.

One of my favourite artists.

Saw him at the Sage, Gateshead about a year ago and supporting Starsailor about four years ago.

He's just brought out a new EP as well which I shall be dipping into my piggybank to purchase in the next few days. :p

Edit- Speaking of David Ford covers there's loads on Youtube from covers of Eminem to Take That to Britney Spears. :p

We drove from South Shields to Carlisle to see him, worth the trip. Heard he was at the sage last year but I didnt know who he was back then :(

The emotion and depth of his performance was unreal. I was just standing there in awe. He can play a wide array of instruments to a level that just made my life feel so inadequate lol :D

He's doing some dates this year but in dodgy locations e.g. Gloucester , although he said in his msypace blog he hadn't forgotten about the North-East and so would add more if possible, something along those lines anyway

Ive listened to him for years, shame most of my other mates think he sounds like a karaoke singer

He was awesome live though and well worth the drive and sober night.

Fancy Manchester this month then Hedge? :D
