Everything a PC FPS should be in my opinion.

The Free Weekend also coincides with the Brittany update.

Cool thanks for the heads up, i've been waiting to give this a try. It's £14.99 at the moment does that include the discount, or does that come live on the 12th as well?

That is normal price as @McBain suggested.

Discount will go live when the free weekend starts I would expect.

If you haven't played this before I highly recommend giving it a go this weekend. It's a brilliant game.

Thanks, will defo download and give it a try, hopefully it ticks my oldschool shooter itch after the disappointment of the new cod beta

Had a couple of rounds of this earlier, thought it was excellent. Love the no map, no kill notifications, the impact of the weapons etc.

For £7.50 it's getting bought all day long.

I really like it, has a Allied Assault and Enemy Territory feel to it but it runs horribly, severe microstutter and framedrops gave a headache. My system does not like source games for some reason, they always run like crap since switching to nvidia :(

very strange, it plays perfect for me? only thing I'm getting is it seems to take ages to load up the maps, while actually in game its perfect though....I'm loving it,much better than the new cod if the beta was anything to go by, think I'm going to buy this :)

Just been playing for a couple of hours. It's basically Insurgency in WW2, which isn't a criticism.
The weapon handling and damage is excellent, but the movement and small maps still make it feel a bit twitch shooter-y to me. One of those games which has me screaming in rage quite often.
I'm not sure yet - it's not expensive, but also, I'm not sure I'd get much play time out of it.

Got to be said though, the Source engine really is quite amazing. It's what, 13 years old now, but it's only just starting to feel it.

I love some of the dialogue between the soldiers in this, i'm pretty sure an aussie soldier called a friendly a 'Great galah' because of some friendly fire :P

Played 20 hours or so now and I've got to say it's the best £7.44 I've ever spent on a game, that's for sure! I love that's it's not just another run and gun sort of game. You have to actually put some thought into staying alive.

After my initial post I tried it again after fiddling with my mouse sensitivity and it felt better....I might take a punt on it. But to me, it does still feel a bit run and gun. The weapons and damage feel realistic, but some of the movement doesn't seem to match that authenticity.

Quick example, on the Dunkirk map, I'm in objective B upstairs in the hotel, on the landing, prone with an MG42 covering a narrow doorway maybe 10-15 metres away, as I know the enemy are attacking from that direction (already dropped one as he appeared). Suddenly, someone strafes sideways across the doorway and manages to put a round through my head with a bolt action rifle, before I'd even managed to pull the trigger. He didn't even seem to stop, take aim, or anything...just appeared and *donk*, I'm dead. Perhaps I'm just getting old and slow, but there's been a few similar instances where people seem to be able to aim and fire with pinpoint precision whilst on the move, and it makes the game feel much more like a traditional run and gun game for me, especially combined with very small, close-quarters maps.

That said, the presentation and attention to detail is pretty good. I was running behind our flamethrower troop yesterday and noticed that you can actually hear the liquid in his tank swishing around as he runs. Pretty cool :D

well it feels nothing at all like a run and gun game to me lol I love it and will be defo buying it
