On Netflix August 12.

Jamie Foxx stars with Dave Franco & Snoop Dogg as a hard working blue collar dad who just wants to provide a good life for his quick-witted daughter, but his mundane San Fernando Valley pool cleaning job is a front for his real source of income, hunting and killing vampires as part of an international Union of vampire hunters.

6/10. Better than I was expecting, although they were playing off the wife's butt in lycra. Had a Dawn to Dusk feel without the dance. Worth a watch.

Also worth a watch are the two Russian films - Day Watch and Night Watch which is similar but more stylised.

Not great, looks pretty cheap in a lot of places , most of the fights look like badly choreographed martial arts on cardboard sets.
Dont know if its poor editing or maybe cheap Cgi stitching bits together ? but there was some weird stutter in places.

Cant tell if the actors seem quite bored or its terrible George Lucas type dialogue .. i.e. any of the scenes between Jamie Foxx and his wife, except Snoop who is just embarrassingly bad.

Its very straight to video but somehow has a $100 million budget. No wonder Netflix is in trouble.

4th division Blade, even Blade 3 is a better watch.

Slightly above average Netlfix film. Jamie Foxx plays Jamie Foxx and Snoop Dogg turns up to get paid.

The fight scene with the brothers was amazing and a few funny jokes. References to other vampire stuff, obligatory and funny. Story was rushed in places and silly in others (if he gets his ex wife 10k in 3 days she won't make a life changing decision to move to a new state).

Sadly I'm sure in 4 weeks I won't even remember the story. Maybe it would have worked better as a 6 part limited series or something.

4/10.
Opening was decent/fun but it was a steep, downhill dive from there.

The little girl - awful. The bizarre yoga/arse shot of the wife...just weird. Another disappointment from Netflix. I'm going to recosider subscribing if this trend carries on much longer.
