DB Cooper finally found? Possible mystery solved

I loved this story, didn't some money turn up on a beach some years later?

A kid found $5,800 dollars near a river bed in the area where DB supposedly parachuted in and the serial numbers matched the ransom money from the plane.

I imagine he promptly set up home somewhere, changed his name, got new ID documents and lived a wealthy life afterwards.

Badass men like that deserve to live a badass life tbh :p

Well that was weird...read this article earlier, then was sat just now watching an episode of Warehouse 13 and they mention DB Cooper's parachute.

So strange when that happens.

Seems a bit stupid to do all that life risking stuff for a measly £200k, it's not as though you can retire on that.

But that was $200,000 40 years ago :) Also, he couldn't use bigger notes because it's too hard to use them without suspicion, and any more $20's would have been too much to carry.

Using a few online calculators $200k is around $1m in today's money.

Even $1million is below the average wage for 40 years, wouldn't have bothered tbh.
