DCS:- Black Shark only £11 on D2D!

Cracking game, really enjoying it now. Some of the campaign missions are hard work though, especially any that involve an ambush that you are meant to 'protect' a convoy or the like from. The ambush wipes out the majority of the convoy before I even get the call :o

Tried following waypoints to a target just now, soon as I got near any action it became a stuttery mess, not good :(
 
Admit it, who else here while watching the video in the OP had the 'Airwolf' music playing in their head? :D
Flight sims havn't half improved. My last one was Falcon on the Amiga. Do these games still come with sweet keyboard overlays lol.

There are some do's and don'ts with regard to FPS in Black shark, just as quick guide..... Always run in Fullscreen Mode, turn off the Mirrors in the options, set the Water to "Normal" and the Res of Cockpit displays to 512 (this affects the Shkval only BTW).

In general DCS (and FC2) are heavily CPU dependant, so the more you can squeeze out of your CPU, the better your performance will be. The forthcoming Patch for BS will include a new multi threaded sound engine so if you have 2 cores you will get a few more fps.

Think I got lucky.. I just whacked everything on max, both in game and in nVidia control panel, and it's fine as long as I stay out of the clouds :)

Mind you, if there are a lot of units it slows quite a bit. Thanks for link Nate. :)
