Hey matey ive just built an identical machine i went for the G.Skill 6400 hz ram about £117 for 2gb its 800mhz, and is bloody quick well worth it. looks awesome as well. Got any other questions just ask ill check your post.

that was quick...cheers for the reply.
whats the mobo like?
i might need help when i get these daddies,as i know nothing about ddr2 and it will be my first intel cpu...

hehe np the motherboard omg its awesome, cant say enough bout it. Tbh im very new to custom making comps so bare with me but the layout is great. and if your looking to overclock the cpu or wateva and u make a boo boo there is a reset button on the mboard to save you having to take the Cmos battery out so smooth its amazing. and on the side of overclocking u can overclock pretty much everything really high. and the actual build quality is great only quibble is the cpu cooler if your looking to use a diff cpu cooler to the reference one that comes with the intel 6600 make sure the backing plate is shaped like an X not a I shapped plate basically theres a pin that gets in the way of the I shapped backing plate resulting in poor cpu cooling connections. Anyway ill post now before u get bored and log, if u need any more questions answered just post ill be watching, as im trying to test me new CPU overclock just got it from 2.4ghz to 3ghz :)

Cellshock mmmm its not bad tbh, id still say go for the G.Skill u wont be sorry. my system is ace play all games and its loading times are amazing.

to be honest, and no just im right about going for G.Skills ram its ace ram. Cellshock prob same as mine but stick to *** ya know mate thats best thing to do.

"cellshock is not bad" ... its rated as one of the best available on the market today. Guaranteed D9GMH, 8 layer PCB, solid heatspreaders. If money isnt such a factor id plump for the Cellshock but if your trying to save the pennys there is nothing wrong with the GSkill or any other memory for that matter. Depends entirely on how high your aiming to get your overclock and at what timings.

ubernoob you have cellshock ram and say it's not bad.
would you recommend it and what overclocks are you getting on the ram?
also i did'nt think the timings were important in intel core-duo.
