DDR2 single or double sided?

Is it even a issue anymore? The last board I had that cared was an old Nforce 3 board. I would expect most of the DDR2 800 2G modules to be single sided these days, maybe some double sided 4G modules.

The only problem i can think of is the G31 chipset, which can only support two full memory slots. There are some boards however that have four, meaning they only support one sided memory connectors.

Superewza you’re right I have a Gigabyte GA-P31,

to populate all 4 slots all sticks must be single sided.

Tried putting all 4 in and only get 2 sticks working so I guess the GeIL must be

double sided.
