Hey everybody.

I currently have a ddr2 laptop that has 2 x 512mb 677mb sodimms inside it.

however the ram is only running at 266mhz and not 333mhz
which using the double date rate
266 x 2 = 532mhz (533)
333 x 2 = 666mhz (677)

why isnt my ram running as fast as it should be ?
cpu-z says my fsb to dram ratio is 1:2.

could it have something to do with my cpu fsb? thats at 533mhz...
before i have used 677 with no problem tho.

any ideas how to sort this?
thanks :)

It could be that your RAM can't run at higher speeds with the CPU, happened to me.

I had to decrease RAM frquency and in effect making Timings better.

oh my bus speed is 133mhz so dram ratio to fsb is
fsb 1:2 dram
so ram is running at 266mhz
so 1:3 would be 399...
so i need 1:2.5 ratio eek...
