DDR3 Corsair memory question

Just want to know... is the XMS3 Dominater series especially made for AM3 boards? I get kinda mixed up with the normal Dominator as they seem to be made for i5 and i7...

memory is made for both platforms so it should work in both systems
AMD and intel i5 use dual channel! and intel I7 uses triple channel!

One thing you need to watch is the voltage the memory runs at, i5 & i7 need 1.65v max, one set of the Dominator require 1.8v.
