DDR3 Mother board with DDR2 memory.

I have 2x 1GB DDR2 Memory.
Im planing on getting a new Mother Board.
Would my DDR2 Memory be compatible with a DDR3 Mother Board?

The reason im confused is because i saw this Mother Board
"Asus P5QC Combo Intel P45 (Socket 775) PCI-Express DDR2/DDR3 Motherboard"

Why would this Mother Board have DDR2 when its DDR3 is compatible with DDR2 Memory?

It has DDR2 and DDR3 slots. Yuo can use one of the other, not both at the same time

No its notched so it wont physically fit. The board you linkied to has 4x DDR2 slots and 2x DDR3 slots
