Hi all

Noob here :) Hello everyone!
I'm just about to upgrade one of my desktops with a i7-9700k/Z390 but looking for fast memory (eg 3600MHz, cl16 or better) is eluding me! I'm after 16GB G.Skill Trident Z but all the ones I'd consider seem to be out of stock or just not listed. Anyone know if there is a particular reason for that? Is it just demand exceeding supply? Modules going to other countries? Some other nefarious reason? I had the same problem last year when I upgraded another desktop so I'm wondering why the world keeps frustrating me!

Thanks for any wisdom

G.Skill U.K stock levels are never good, whenever i buy G.Skill it is usually from Germany.

I went with an 8 Pack 3200 C14 set this time around and on a z390 it does either 4000-C14 tight or 4500-C19 both at 1.5v on ASROCK.

Hi
Thanks for that. Anyone in particular in Germany/Europe recommended? Perhaps, in any case, I should consider a lower speed anyway. I'm looking at maybe a Gigabyte Aorus Ultra Z390 so I guess it will overclock quite reasonably too.
Cheers

you will need to do your own searching for stock as the mods here will hang me up.

Gigabyte boards not the best for maximum RAM OC, if that’s what you want you are better off with an Asrock, Asus Apex or, if it’s specifically for G.Skill ram, the MSI MPG z390 Gaming Edge mITX.
