DDR4 Memory for skylake 2 x 8gb which to go for?

ok guys just ordered the CPU & MB

only thing left... RAM! always a tough one

ive read skylake may benefit for higher frequency RAM

I can only get 2 x 8gb as its a Mitx board

so guys

2400 2666 or 3000? or even higher?

dont want to go crazy in price just something that is a good deal but not a rip off

any suggestion for kits? also most are 14-16cl

There is not going to be a massive diffrence in perfomenace just get the what fits your budget.

DDR4 3000mhz is the sweet spot.

Given the cost difference, i would just go for the 3200MHz Corsair Vengeance, run at 3000MHz with tighter timings.

it might be worth just getting 3000? as most are c15 and 3200 is c16 so would be same thing? :confused:

Somehow i missed that there was a 3000mhz corsair kit. So yes, as you said. Go for the 3000Mhz kit

Looks like 2666 offers the best price/performance, but 3000 & 3200 are worth it (though you are paying a slight premium).
