DDR4 ????

It's not supported by Sandy Bridge, so it's unlikely to be until the next platform refresh, so yeah probably a couple of years at least.
 
Its Weird how they have made DDR4 Ram yet have no Motherboard / Memory Controller / CPU to Support it? Plus How did they know where to put the Grove to stop you putting DDR4 into DDR3 Slots? aha, Intel Probably have Haswell Up and Running with this Ram :P

Slightly related but a little off topic - Why did GPUs pretty much skip DDR4 with the exception of a few models a couple of years ago?

There must have been some reason (I can't remember what it was but I'm sure I looked into it at the time) but would that same reason not apply to desktops, leading straight into DDR5?
