I’d only suggest looking at what memory chips each set use as if one use Hynix and the other uses Samsung, you’d go with the Hynix most of the time (the Samsung chips do have a use case but aren’t as good as overclocking).

I’ve been looking at ram for when I upgrade in the near future and I do like the look of the 48gb kits however the kit I wanted costs £329 from OCUK or £260 on import so I might just go for a cheap £110 6000/30 until prices come down a bit more.

Just get a 7200-7600 kit and tune it yourself? They will all do 8000+. Even lower speed bins probably will.
Those are hardly any difference in price though for the Xtreem.

Why the Xtreem specifically?
I like the aesthetics, has thermal pads on the PMIC and the heatsinks seem to be decent.

There's an Xtreem kit in 2x16GB flavor on the MM
I did see that but if I bought it I’m unable to test it as I haven’t got the board or cpu yet, waiting on arrow lake launch before deciding on red or blue.

Impulse bought a 2x24GB Klev 6000mhz C30 kit on offer earlier. £144 quid seemed a pretty decent deal.
well given the current offers on 64gb kits it must have been a bad impulse haha

Didn't seem too bad to me, for CL30 kits it's about £100 for 32GB and £200+ for 64GB.
Previously it was only the higher CAS 48GB kits at this price.

I'M not sure if in a year or so 32gb will be enough, as I often have 29gb in use gaming with a couple of tabs open, so when I upgrade soon I'll be tempted by 48gb, but the price

What are people using for testing memory stability. Thought I'd tweak my existing RAM to see if the upgrade was worth it, it's 6000mhz CL38 but I upped the voltage to 1.4V and its running 6000mhz CL30.
I'm using the windows version of Memtest and it seems to be not throwing up errors but no idea how robust this is.
