DDR6400 or upgrade to DDR 8500

Hi, I have 8gb of DDR 6400, and I am overclocking my nice shiny newQ9550, is it work upgrading to DDR 8500 , or could I overclock my OCZ gold ddr6400 enough.

Try and get it stable along with your chip first.

Is your ram holding you back.? if not there's no need to get new ram.

if it is have a go at overclocking the ram and see how you get on, i have some 6400 OCZ stable at 950MHz with My core 2 at 3.6GHz

hope all goes well, just keep an eye on things if you do go for overclocking the ram, there is no software temp monitor for ram as far as i am aware.
