Isnt this law going to ban replica BB guns too, from what I can remember? Its a completly stupid law.

Well I await the law changing water pistols and footballs into firearms.

It will ban the sale and import of replica "firearms", meaning you can still own the ones you currently have.

Water pistols are fine becase they are usually a) brightly coloured b) oddly shaped.

Deactivated weapons aren't effected at all.

Reenactors (including airsofters) are excempt from the ban.

Ok, its one thing converting a replica and making it a gun but guns need bullets, surely its wise to tackle the ammo rather than the gun itself?

The sale of live primers, as well as loading presses will be restricted to FAC holders. The powder is already restricted to FAC holders.

Incidentally, the VCR bill will contain a specific clause that will allow airsoft to continue in this country.
