I've done a silly thing. I was hoovering my room, especially around the area under the desk where dust is a particular problem. I made sure not to hoover the actual computer however, but to cut a long story short - the dust short-circuited the system somehow.

My question is - is there any way to check what is working and what isn't so that I know what I need to buy to replace dead part/s? Many thanks in advance

At the minute, there are no fans or lights whatsoever. I'm guessing it's either PSU or motherboard.

- IP35 Pro XE motherboard
- Antec TruePower Quattro 850W Modular PSU

I don't believe this - as stupid as it sounds I did exactly that. I can't believe I fell for that. Guess I just assumed the worst! Thanks for the help, panic over, case closed.

firstly obvious stuff :) - recheck the cables etc as mentioned, althoguh dust build up etc can cause damage i doubt by hoovering the dust etc flying around would damage the rig, but stranger things have happened. If this dont work, try a different psu of friends psu if you can to rule this out!
