Dead iphone 4, 20 months old.

So my phone seems to have died today.

A couple of times today when I have used the slide to unlock it, it has frozen up and required a hold down on the sleep and home button to reboot it.

Now it is not starting back up, it seems that the back light is on but the screen is blank (black), nothing will revive it.

So, the question is, what are the chances of apple fixing this?

I don't see why this should cost me anything, the phone has been babied and is in perfect condition so its a software issue or a component has died.

I am sure I heard something about a 2 year EU warranty?

Anyone had a similar issue?

Try forcing it into recovery mode.

Try forcing it into recovery mode.

This, And then do a full restore. If its still broken after that, Then it will likely be a hardware fault.

No point in taking it to the apple store when you can (hopefully) fix it yourself.
